ANNE LAMOTT & The Writing Mamas Perform in The Mama Monologues!

We are honored to have noted author and Bay Area resident Anne Lamott, one of the country’s most beloved observer’s of the human condition, perform at our acclaimed Mama Monologues on November 14th from 6-9pm at Church of Christ, Campbell Hall & Garden, in Sausalito, Calif.

The author of many books, including her bestselling parenting memoir, “Operating Instructions,” Anne Lamott writes and speaks about all things parenthood with humor, pathos, grace, wit, spirituality, and love. That’s why The Writing Mamas thought she was the perfect mother to perform with them in their LOL Mama Monologues: an honest; witty, edgy, in the trenches look at real motherhood, as told from its war heroes – other mothers.

Proceeds from the Mama Monologues are always donated to a person in need. Jacquelyn Mitchard, beloved author of “Deep End of the Ocean,” and mother of nine – a goddess! – recently lost her entire life savings in what she thought was a conservative investment, that turned out to be a scam. She will be the beneficiary of this performance. Anne is “especially happy to do this for Jackie.”

The evening will begin with hilarious and touching short monologues by The Writing Mamas, followed by a’socializing break’ for delicious food, conversation and wine ¬ Lots of wine!

The second half of the evening will be a full hour devoted to Anne Lamott. Funny on the written page, she is hilarious and insightful in person. Anne will read excerpts from her bestselling books, share stories and answer your questions. So come see and hear Anne in person!

So leave the kids at home, grab a comfy seat in the audience and enjoy a well-deserved evening of fun, laughter, tears, and wisdom, food, and wine, while also doing a good deed.
